Originally from Bayonne in the south of France, Nicolas LeBorgne aka Odo is influenced by old school sailor tattoos, Street Art, as well as strange dreams. Odo ‘s artistic style can beclassified as part of the Pop surrealism and Lowbrow movement. Odo s work is rich and consistent, full of sensibility, extremely detailed as his elders such as Jeremy Fish or Mike Giant, bringing a new breathe to the lowbrow mouvement.
Mainly Self taught man, even though the artist received schooling around image, video and advertizing, Odo has elaborated his unique style by experimenting, using water colours, ball pens, as well as acrylic and poska on paper, canvas or wood.
” I start by painting using watercolours and than I focus on the details, I darken my drawings as much as possible, use precise lines, which is a very long process…” Odo.
