Maya Mihindou
Self-taught, born in Gabon and living in Paris France, Maya Mihindou releases in 2011 her first publication both as author and illustrator: Sabine, sous le label Venusdea (Sabine under the Venusdea label).
In addition to her work in comic books, Maya Mihindou mixes the genres through illustrations and fairytales. Her organic style allows her to mix the genres.
Maya Mihindou gathers through her travels what is left as unanswered questions of childhood.
Maya Mihindou develops her own universe through collective projects, books as well as exhibitions. Her work has been presented in Paris, Tokyo, Alger…and in Lille in 2010, where she exhibited at La Maison Folie des Moulins where she presented a series of original drawings and installations, inspired by the album “Fever Ray”.
Maya Mihindou also founded with a few acolyte, the “Vertébrale” fanzine et contribues to the Squame, Dealine and Wakawaka collective.
