Ankhone
At the beginning of the nineties, Ankhone started doing graffiti on the walls of Grenoble at the bottom of the French Alps.
It is this mode of expression that has drove Ankhone to study at the “Ecole Supérieur d’Art Appliqué” (Fine Art School) in Troyes.
Filled with desires and creativity while learning other more classical technics, Ankhone gradually transposes his pictoral and graphic work towards painting, without breaking his ties with graffiti which has always motivated his progress.
In 1999, Ankhone becomes part of the GM Collective (GentlMen) and in 2001 he joins the 9e Concept Collective which gives him a new strengh.
As confortable with graphism as with illustration and painting, Ankhone uses all those mediums to represent poetry in mouvement. Both Realistic and narrative, sometimes surrealistic, his artworks are nourished by poetry and intuitive naivety.
